Postings for Faculty Lecturer School of Social Work, Dalhousie Application Deadline: March 26th 2010 Pay Rate: As per Collective Agreement Educational background in social work with extensive experience in social work or related fields is required. A Master of Social Work degree or higher and previous teaching experience, especially in the subject matter of the course, is also normally required. Distance Courses will be taught in an online learning management system known as Blackboard Learning System (BLS) for distance delivery throughout Canada. For a detailed description of each course please refer to the course outline in our 2009/2010 academic calendar. The lecturer would be responsible for all aspects of teaching and administering the class, including course preparation, lectures, test preparation and evaluation. For distance courses the lecturer should be available on-line for consultation with students. The lecturer reports to the Director of the School.
